A good book isn’t a long one, it’s one that conveys what it’s trying to say in a practical manor while at the same time keeping the reader interested. A prime example of what not to do is to take three pages describing an empty room like Steffane Myer
…or J.K. Rowling.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is what I was targeting specifically, especially the dreadfully slow camping scenes where nothing happens. I was also disappointed with Voldemort’s death. Thud. For an author that likes to elaborate, this is a time where a slow-motion death would have been appropriate.
