There are enough canines in the household already.

Btw, I’m on Twitter

In an effort to up my social network visibility, I’d like to remind people about my Twitter account. You can find it at twitter.com/will_yums. On it, you can get updates on my comics, blog postings(like this one), why my comic is late, statuses on my late comics(They often get done at 6am on the update day), how I’m liking Linux, if I got Windows 7 installed yet(almost out of beta), movies I’m liking or hating, geeky geekness, and more! I try to only post interesting things. I will never post any TMI postings, like a certain kind mentioned in Penny Arcade.

I currently have 40 followers. I think I’ll aim high and hope for 50 followers by the end of the week.

And, if you’re on FurAffinity, I also post my comics there. You can see my userpage here. FurAffinity is a huge community of artists and fanatics with a strong focus on cartoon animals. They’ve been a great community to post comics on. I currently have 49 watchers on there, and hope for 1000 by the end of…. sometime. Two great examples of the art on there are by Kipper and Swiftcutter.

Morningstar makes some pretty good veggieburgers. Just wanted to mention that.

…ya gotta wear shades.

Hey, seen the new Star Trek movie by the way? *ahem* Somebody likes lense flares on that production team.

(no, I haven’t seen the movie yet)

(Broken image has been fixed. It was showing for me, but ONLY me!)

One more tribute to how bright the lights are in the new Star Trek movie… before I actually watch it today.

There’s one point where Spock’s head is completely whited out from a lens flare.

Star Trek: The Wrath Of Lens Flare

wrath-of-lens-flare

Finally saw the new Star Trek movie last night and was totally blown away by it. They even threw in plenty of references to the Original Series that got a good laugh from many. Ah, Chekov, you’ll never pronounce “vessel” correctly.
I wore my Star Trek pin, too!
I created 2 comics(here and here) in reference to the overuse of lens flares, and I couldn’t resist using them one last time in this photo totally intended to just show what I wore to the theater.
Oh, speaking of the theater… it’s been maybe 2 years since I’ve been to a theater(5th Harry Potter movie). Prices went up($7.50 before, $9 now), they now accept credit cards, nobody takes the ticket, and they’ve replaced the huge malfunctioning tv with a small flat panel at about the same distance.

We interrupt this panel to bring you another panel, followed by another panel for you added pleasure.

(Edit 3-1-10: added Wiley’s name as a keyword, now that he has a name)

By the way, the captain is a mouse. I, made his ears a little too floppy here. How does Mickey Mouse get away with such a rounded nose, anyway?

Video: My cat drinks with her paw

I decided that today should be a CATurday. This is my kitty, named “Boing” because she always jumps onto the fence when we walk near it, so she can be petted. She’s been drinking water and milk with her paw recently. Not sure why. Never seen a cat do that before.

If you’re not familiar with falooda, you’re not missing anything. Think of watered-down tapioca pudding, maybe some fruit flavors, with cold spaghetti mixed in. As far as Indian drinks go, I prefer a mango lassi. THOSE are awesome.
